Us Dr Who fans can really look forward to giving the festive Holiday Christmas tree a traditional bit of blue police box bling with this really fantastic looking and special Kurt Adler glass hanging ornament shaped just like a Tardis.

How about putting one of The Doctor’s oldest and most fearsome enemy on your festive tree this year. This bright red war machine Dalek character is poised and ready to exterminate and destroy.

I love the look of the wonderful painted glass body casing which is sure to match in so well with the traditional Holiday season colors of red and green. This superb design comes from Kurt Adler and is a pretty detailed 5 inch high hanging glass design.

Glass Ornaments: Traditional glass pieces shine beautifully with the little tree lights unlike the duller plastic pieces but you do need to treat them with a bit of respect so that you can enjoy them year after year.

We pack our glass ornaments up very carefully away in boxes packed in tissue and bubble wrap. You probably should give some respect to a Dalek anyway.

I love this traditional looking round design which comes in a vibrant shade of just the right blue and features the faces of 11 of the Doctors on the front along with Matt Smith.

Matt plays the eleventh one right in the middle. On the back of this particular design, it reads BBC Doctor Who since this is an officially licensed product.

This makes for a great looking gift for a big fan of the series and an inexpensive one to buy as well. Even though this does not have the current Dr played by Peter Capaldi, it’s great to have the different regenerations of characters on the front of the design.

My favorite is David Tennant but my daughter really likes Matt Smith and Jon Pertwee the most. She’d love to get this to hang on the tree. The lovely blue coloring would work so well with an icy cool winter color scheme.

This is a fun little set of two Christmas tree hanging ornaments based on this hit BBC series. In this particular set, you get one ornament with the eleventh Dr, played by Matt Smith (you know the Bow Ties are Cool one) and you also get a cool looking sonic screwdriver.

I say a sonic screwdriver because it looks somewhat like Matt’s particular device except that the end color as shown is a little off because it should be green. However, it’s still a cool little set to have.

Fancy blinging up the decorations with a little bit of cool cyber technology? Here’s a sweet silver colored glass Cyberman design which makes for a rather sparkling addition to the festive decor and a rather geeky one at that.

I had to include this since my daughter's favorite monster is the Cyberman and she'd be pretty peeved if I omitted it. This would make a great gift for her and for any one who especially loves these Alien beings.

Used along with other monsters from the series, you could have a whole sci-fi theme going on instead of a traditional Holiday one. Cybermen in particular have gone through a lot of changes on the show from when they first appeared.

This version of the head reminds me very much of Handles who kept the 11th Dr, Matt Smith, company in the town that was called Christmas in the episode The Time of the Doctor.

It was actually very emotional when Matt had to endure the breakdown of his friend Handles because he could no longer repair him. So get this one to keep you company instead.

My daughter's also a massive fan of Sarah Jane and adores the dog companion who tags along. I’m sure that K9 will be very happy hanging about where he can guard everything for you and keep all the gifts under the tree safe – affirmative, master!

This one is made from plastic which is ideal if you want a kid safe version instead of the blown glass variety. You can get it in glass too if that is what you prefer.

Since this one is pretty inexpensive, it could also be used for a stocking stuffer or filler gift for any fan of this show. Other designs you should look out for include: Weeping Angels, Davros the Dalek creator, Adipose the fat buster cute monsters and characters such as Clara and the fourth Dr played by Tom Baker.

Clara was back for series 9 but it was so sad that was her final series. All fans should now know that she was bowing out and is working on other projects.

We recently watched through her scenes in the episode Face the Raven which were pretty emotional but not nearly as bad as when the companions Rose and Donna left. We're looking forward to seeing who else comes on board the Tardis in future. Enjoy this great selection of festive picks.
