When I was a little girl, I used to love Mom's special nativity set coming out because it meant that Christmas was just round the corner. It was a very ornate set and I was never allowed to touch the pieces but would sit looking at all the little figures.
As I got older, I discovered the nativity story and Mom would read this to us in front of the fire. I have wonderful memories of this time of year as a child and I think that all children can get enjoyment out of a nativity set and learning about the stories behind why we celebrate this day.
